Liaison

The Liaison plays a critical role in the communication link between a school and the CTABC. The Liaison is the school representative who has the responsibility to convey to the school's staff the communication coming from the CTABC and directing back to the CTABC feedback from the members.

Communication from the CTABC happens primarily through e-mails from the its office. The monthly "Update" is a two page electronic newsletter that goes to the Liaison for dissemination to the members. There is a "staff meeting" item in the Update that can be referred to at the monthy staff meeting.

The CTABC Board realizes that Liaisons need to be resourced so the Executive Director meets with Liaisons for half a day as part of a Regional In-service meeting most years. For the 2011-2012 school year the Executive Director will be making visits to individual liaisons at their school.
