RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STAFF LIAISON
 
 
A CTABC staff liaison must be a CTABC member. S/he is appointed/elected by the local staff no later than June to serve for the following year. The length of the term is determined by the local staff.
 
The duties of the CTABC staff liaison are as follows:
 
·          Serves as liaison between the staff and the CTABC board and executive director.
 
·          Asks that CTABC business appears on monthly staff meeting agendas.
 
·          Ensures the CTABC monthly Updates are distributed to each staff member either in printed copy or electronically through e-mail.
 
·          Draws the staff's attention to the "staff meeting" items in the CTABC Newsletter.
 
·          Keeps a file of CTABC materials and Newsletters in the school and elerts members to the changes on the website.
 
·          Keeps abreast of new CTABC policies and their implementation.
 
·          Approaches new staff members in September and explains what CTABC is and does, and encourages membership.
 
·          Encourages returning staff members who are not CTABC members to join the association.
 
·          Registers teachers for CTABC membership (online), collects CTABC dues and information as requested and forwards same to the CTABC office.
 
·          Registers teachers for CTABC/NWCSI Convention (online), collects convention fees for his/her staff, and mails them to the designated Convention Treasurer, Seth Bakker. Address: Langley Christian School, 22702 48 Ave., Langley BC V2Z 2T6
 
·          Provides input for members serving on CTABC committees.
 
·          Encourages the implementation of the CTABC Professional Development Resource which is located on the website.
 
·          Attends the annual CTABC Liaison "in-service" day
 
·          Attends the CTABC AGM meeting in October
 
·          Encourages a fellow teacher to seek "Facilitation" if there is a break down in a relationship with another teacher, the Administration or the Board.
