CTABC Membership:
- Full Time (Employed 75-100%) $160.00
- Part-time (Employed 55-74%) $120.00
- Part-time (Employed 54% or less) $ 80.00
- Associate $ 40.00
- Administrator (CPABC member) $110.00
Regular membership is open to a person who agrees with the CTABC constitution and is employed as a qualified teacher or administrator in a BC Christian school that meets the requirements of the Independent School Act of BC
Associate members are those who 1) are employed as paraprofessionals such as teacher’s assistants, instructional assistants, librarians, etc., in a Christian school recognized under the Independent School Act and agree with the CTABC constitution; or, 2) are pre-school teachers and support staff and agree with the CTABC constitution; or 3) are no longer actively engage in teaching in a Christian school and agree with the CTABC constitution; or, 4) are Christians teaching in other schools and agree with the constitution.
Honourary Membership is available to members who have retired from the teaching profession after serving a minimum of 25 years in Christian Schools. Honourary memberships may also be granted at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Honourary members pay no dues, have no vote, may not serve on the board, and may attend the CTABC convention at no cost other than for meals and refreshments.
CTABC Membership Fee Relief Policy:
A teacher who is unable for financial reasons to pay the full membership fee may request a reduction. The following criteria will need to be met if a reduction is to be granted:
- A teacher must submit a request in writing to have the fee reduced before September 15 of the school year for which the membership fee is due.
- A fee reduction will be considered that is related to the CTABC-SCSBC salary grid:
· Teachers at 80 percent of (CTABC Compensation) grid get a 20% reduction.
· Teachers at 60 percent of grid get a 40% reduction.
- There will be no reduction for Support Staff as their membership fee is set well below the Teacher’s Membership Fee.
