Barnabas Visits

Barnabas Project
Mandate
To encourage and support in spiritual, emotional, and practical terms teachers in remote areas and/or less experienced teachers who request assistance.
Visionary Goal
To build community between larger established schools and smaller remote schools throughout BC by:
  • encouraging the sponsorship of small schools by large schools through prayer, communication (student to student, teacher to teacher, staff to staff) and sharing of resources (curriculum, units, books)
  • encouraging mentorship by experienced teachers for less experienced teachers or teachers in remote areas through prayer, communication, resources (strategies, management techniques) and visits.

Budget and Process

CTABC has a budget of $500.00 set aside for the 2008-2009 school year. Any small school may apply for funds to go towards covering the cost of having a teacher mentor serve in their school.
